BOOK REVIEW

A nine-year-old girl, Trisha McFarland went out a hike with his older brother, Pete and her recently divorced mother. After the divorce, their mother took her two children on outings. She wanted the outings instructive but Pete didn't like to be told what to do and Trisha didn't like her mother and brother argued. Pete had no place to be himself, as his only friend moved away and a lot of other students picked on him at school. The realtionship with his mother is not a good one because she didn't understand him. Trisha didn't like the way her mother treat Pete. Trisha liked a baseball player, Tom Gordon and he is the only relief for her. During their walk in the woods, Trisha wanted to pee, but her mother and brother were arguing and didn't listen to Trisha. She felt as if she was not there and stepped out the pathway. The relationship between the divorced family is not going well and Trisha and Pete had a feeling which was not fullfilled.
